“for the good of
all” we say in faith
the love of our
fellows we don’t despair
we think of the
healing: the little waif,
the infirmed, the
poor, we mean to care
these are the
tributes to all mankind
we forgive the
cruel, the thoughtless man
so much need, we
cannot heal the blind
in spirit, the
physically blind we can,
and yet there is
hunger and so much loss
to Nature’s anger as
she mimics our own
we share what we
have, at so much cost
but we give, we
give, so we’re not alone
raise your cup, my
friend, we, all together
can pray the
vanquishing of all ill weather
